I really like the dress and am excited to wear it!For my courthouse wedding, I stalked this dress for MONTHS and messed around with other dresses and corsets and the whole deal. Was really unsure about the sequins, but the dress looked so great in Amazon reviewer pics I just went for it. Wow! Okay, first things first, you probably CAN wear it backwards. As a member of the IBTC I was afraid it would have nothing to catch on to but it sits comfortably as a cowl and I can't wait to try it on with a bra. Although the dress is absolutely gorgeous, I may return it if one of my other Amazon purchases works out better. I'm sort of scared to wear gold sequins to the courthouse. But at the same time, even in a plus size this dress is insanely flattering and beautifully lined and made and just flat out gorgeous. For anything but a wedding ceremony as the bride, I would not hesitate.And yes, sequins shed but it isn't the end of the world and has not affected the look of the dress. My ceremony and reception are separate and I have a white mantilla and wrap 50's petticoat dress for the latter. This was one I picked because my other ensemble is mermaidy, with a fishing net veil and gold starfish veil clips. If I can be brave enough, I think it will look really pretty.TLDR? This dress will probably fit you. If self-conscious, throw in a firm bodysuit. It can be reversed to have a front cowl, for sure. And it is a lovely all-season well made dress. Yes, it will be short on some and long on others. Base the shoes on the dress. I will try to add pics but I do really hope I end up keeping and wearing this dress as it was not a let down even after months of stalking it!I ordered this dress for a black tie event that's a while away.Sizing: I typically am a 0-2, and after reading other reviews went on the larger end. The 2 fits perfectly! It's very long on me, but I'm 5' 3" so it's expected. Wearing 4" heels brought it to where the bottom of the dress kisses the floor, instead of dragging.Other fit notes: It has a full slip built in. Side zipper to help get it on/off, but I found I didn't need to unzip before putting it on. The underarm/sleeve area can get a bit uncomfy due to the sequins, but not a deal breaker for me. The dress has some weight to it to hug any & all curves you may have. My legs didn't feel constrained so I could walk normally. I was able to wear a strapless bra without it being visible in the back. Lacey undergarments definitely recommended as this dress has a form-fitting silhouetteOverall I felt wonderful trying this dress on and can't wait to wear it out!I have been looking at this dress for months and finally decided to buy it for a special event. I received SO many complements on this dress! Everyone told me that this dress was a total head turner. It is exactly what I wanted. The only problem was the color is not at all like the picture. I was expecting a light lavender, but the actual color was more pink, which was ok for me, but also the reason I had to take one star off. I also needed to hem the dress, which is to be expected since I'm on the short side. It was super easy to hem though. There may have been a few spots were there are less sequins, but really, no one notices. I hoe to find another event that I can wear this dress to.This dress is beautiful and strikingSize:I got the dress custom made but unfortunately, the dress was too large. The lining is made of stretch material and I think the dress looks better as a form fitting outfit so I would go for a smaller size. The key is to expect the measurements given to be the exact measurements of the dress with no ease - well unless you are a statue you need ease in clothing to be able to move. lolI ordered 1 size larger based upon recent product reviews (I wanted the dress to follow the body but not be too tight). The dress fit great with no alterations needed. The base fabric has some stretch and it follows the form of the body without clinging. The quality was amazing. I'm also 5'10" and the dress was long enough for me to be able to wear 3" heels.The back is low so you will need a special bra or get creative.I do wish the sleeves were cut a bit better (sleeve to armhole) but for a sequined dress under $75 its pretty amazing.This dress is a fantastic fit, a dream come true, and a perfectly classy dress for any formal affair. The back is both sexy and sophisticated. The cap sleeves were a little bit snug (nothing I would ever complain about for the price and the overall quality) so be aware of that when you order it.The length was perfect for me - I am 5'3" and I know that we short people sometimes have problems with the length of dresses we buy without trying them on first.I am also a bit curvier now that I have had to stop working out and my hips, thighs, and tummy need some room. Well, this dress gives it to them while making them look good.If you are wondering about how itchy it might be, never fear. The lining is thick enough that you barely know you are wearing a sequin dress.Elle est très belle. Je la vous la recommande.Looked more expensive than it was. It fit my girls perfectly!
